What’s our terroir?
Self-proclaimed wine enthusiasts are accustomed to using the term terroir (tεrwar), but for the novice wine drinker this term may not be familiar. Many quantify terroir as the distinct characteristics imparted by the environmental and geographical differences of a vineyard, including soil, sunlight, weather, altitude and the vinification or blending practices of the vineyard or wine maker. We bring up terroir because Mile High Wine and Spirits was founded by two individuals with unique terroir – Keith Miller & Chris Giellis. Keith has over 20 years experience in the retail wine industry and is the founder of the consumer friendly webwinesDenverWineGuy.com. Chris’ background includes over 7 years in the corporate ERP software industry working as a consultant and exploring the world of wine, one glass at a time. We hope that that the blending of our talents and abilities will help consumers enjoy wine buying and simplify this sometimes daunting task.
Once again we want to reiterate our excitement to be in Belmar and our appreciation to you. Mile High Wine and Spirits will do things differently than the typical retail liquor store…and it will be in a good way. Thanks again for joining the real Mile High Club and let’s tip those glasses back…
