Unibroue Brewery (March 11-25)

Featured Craft Brewery:  Unibroue Brewery - Quebec, Canada

Unibroue beers are manufactured from natural ingredients only, namely water, malted barley, malted or raw wheat, corn, spices, sugar and yeasts. Unibroue uses state-of-the-art equipment and rigorously follows each step of the manufacturing of its beer.

The brewing methods used by Unibroue have been inspired by the great European brewing traditions and, in this respect, are one of a kind in North America. The methods used stand out, in particular, from the brewing methods of the mass-producing breweries and even from the other North American craft brewers because the beer is refermented in bottles and partly-clarified only.

Mile High Wine and Spirits brings you the following Unibroue Brewery 4 packs at $1 off the regular price thru 3/25.

La Fin du Monde

La Fin du Monde has a brilliant golden color with vigorously effervescent foam.  It is midly yeasty with a complex palate of malt, fruit and spice notes followed by a smooth, dry finish.

Maudite

Maudite is a mahogany-colored, rich-tasting premium beer that has a distinctive, complex taste. Because of the warmth it releases, this strong character beer must be served cool but not cold. Perfect with pasta, red meats, stews and spicy dishes, it also makes a good aperitif and after-dinner drink.

Blanche de Chambly

In the spring of 1992, Unibroue marketed its first beer on lees, the Blanche de Chambly. It contains 5 percent alcohol and is produced from an interesting blend of unmalted Quebec wheat and pale barley malt, to which spices and natural aromatics are added, along with a light hopping.

Don de Dieu

The Don de Dieu was first released onto the Quebec market as a limited edition in November 1998. It rapidly became one of Unibroue's most popular bottle-conditioned products. Therefore, due to increasing demands, Unibroue decided to distribute it internationally. Smooth, rich, and creamy; slightly sweet with a warming mix of strength and full-bodied flavor, delicately spiced.

Ephemere

Apple-Éphémère possesses a fresh apple aroma with reminiscent notes of "Granny Smith" and "McIntosh" a subtle flavor of green apple is complemented by delicate notes of fruit and spice topped by a rich white head.

Trois Pistoles

Trois Pistoles has a dark brown color topped with a rich foam mousse.  Its slightly sweet taste is enhanced by accents of roasted malt, cocoa, ripe fruit and dark spices with a smooth finish like an old port.

Chamby Noire

Chambly Noire has an opaque black color with beige-colored foam. Its roasted malt character is complemented by spicy, mildly smoky notes and a suprisingly clean, dry finish.
