From Domestic to Import to Gluten-Free and everything in between,  Mile High Wine and Spirits has all bases covered when it comes to beer.  We carry over 400 different varieties and are constantly bringing in new ones.  No matter if you’re looking for a 12 pack of Corona Light or want to get adventurous and browse through our selection of Belgian Bombers (Almost 50 to choose from), we will satisfy your every craving.  In addition we proudly carry over 50 Colorado beers.

Hop Shortages and You

As you may or may not know the beer industry is bracing for a price increase. Or to be more precise your favorite Mirco Brew is bracing for a price increase. Turns out not enough hops are being grown today to satisfy the needs of breweries both large and small. How did this happen?

Dogfish Head Brewery - Delaware

Dogfish Head is a microbrewery based in Milton, Delaware. Dogfish Head had humble beginnings, starting off as a brewpub called Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats in Rehoboth, Deleware in 1995.

It seems Dogfish Head liked extremes, it was the first brewpub in Delaware, and when it opened, it was also the smallest commercial brewery in America. They started off making 12 gallon batches (the first ever batch was Shelter Pale Ale) 3 times a day, which even for one restaurant, was not nearly enough, there was another obvious reason they were always short of beer, the beer was great!
