It’s that time of year again! The forecast is calling for high temps in the 80’s this weekend so we’re ready to introduce you to this year’s crop of Roses. We have more than 20 different options for you on the shelves at the shop right now, but one in particular stands out above the rest. “Clos Madon” is Domaine Saint Mitre’s top cuvee of Provencal Rose and it is simply sublime. The nose is so sexy, so sleek, and so alluring that as soon as you pour a glass you’ll be unable to resist its charms. Go in for a sip and you’ll instantly be in awe of its symmetry and refinement. Brilliant notes of ripe red berries, sweet citrus, and vine ripened melon deliver pure pleasure on the palate. Medium bodied and just dry enough, this Rose is sure to leave you feeling refreshed and satisfied. It is one of those bottles that seems to go dry at an unbelievable pace. Drink it from an old jelly jar under a shady tree on a warm afternoon to keep things casual or pair it up with a selection of artfully crafted soft cheeses to make a first course that will knock your guests right off their feet. Either way, the sooner you try the Clos Madon the longer you’ll be able to bask in it’s magnificence before it’s gone until the next vintage.
