The 2019 vintage is only our second from Les Caves du Commandeur but you can be sure it won’t be the last. This Rose is some of the most elegant, refined, and simply drinkable juice in the entire shop. The nose is awash with the scents of fresh cut melons and rose petals. The palate is lush and friendly with a supple, yielding edge that was built with pleasure in mind. Peaches and strawberries tossed in freshly whipped cream meld seamlessly with more subtle hints of blood orange zest, chalky minerality, and a touch of mid-summer English garden. The finish is plush and dry with no hard edges to stop you from tucking right into another sip. This is one of those wines that requires no justification. You thirsty? Open the Divitis? Having some light supper on a warm night? Get some Divitis! Just want to get your classy day drink on when it’s all hot and sticky out? Darn right the Divitis will do! But seriously, folks, whether you’re an old Rose connoisseur or you’re just getting started in the category Les Caves du Commandeur is making some of the most beautiful wine around and you ought to tuck into some because it is going to do you all sorts of right.
