White Rose Estate Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2014

When Willamette Valley Pinot Noir is good, it’s really freaking good. Well folks, let me tell you, this 2014 White Rose Pinot is good. Broad and fleshy on the palate, it delivers the kind of intensity of flavor that is all too often lacking the in the more delicate Pinots of Oregon and Burgundy. Eye popping aromatics kick things off as soon as you go in for the first swirl and sniff. The nose is perfumed with scents of new leather, wood smoke, cedar, cola, and exotic spices. It is the kind of bouquet that you’ll want to dap behind your ears and wear like fine perfume. On the palate the wine is textbook Oregon with an exuberant entry highlighted by vibrant red cherries, tart black currants, cola, and kirsch. The finish is peppery without being aggressive or boozy and it offers a layer of minerality that is reminiscent of fine Burgundy. It is the kind of wine that will make you lovingly prepared turkey get up on the table and start singing and dancing! Seriously, buy this one up because it is something special.
You MUST mention this special or print it out to receive the price on the above wine.
